Visit of the Duchess of Gloucester and was written and designed by our 2016 Year 2 cohort, in collaboration with well-known children’s book author Jacqueline Harvey.
The book captures a fact from the College’s rich history (the visit to Pymble by the Duchess of Gloucester in 1946) and weaves a charming story around it.
Mrs Harvey spent time at Pymble as part of the Ex-Students’ Union Artist in Residence Grant which is awarded annually. In 2016, it was awarded to our Head of Preparatory School, Mrs Karen Ahearn. The grant enabled Mrs Ahearn to engage an artist to provide this opportunity for students that enriched their College experience and enhanced their learning.
Visit of the Duchess of Gloucester also showcases the beautiful illustrations created by Pymble parent Mrs Bianca Orena Barlin and our 2016 Year 2B students.
